September 12 and 13, 2015, Corso Leopold in Munich
Corso Leopold is a Streetlife Festival in Munich with about 360,000 visitors in two days. In the “cultural section” we presented both the exhibition Tiflis – Life in a New Era and information on the Archive Artist Books of Hubert Kretschmer. We had many interesting conversations and encounters. On Saturday alone seven Georgians we had not met up to then happened to drop in.

Book presentation at the American Association of University and Professional Women (Munich, Germany):
“Lisa Fuhr spoke to the AAUPW about her most recent project and book, Tiflis – Leben in einer Neuen Zeit / Tbilisi – Life in a New Era. … It is based on her interviews and photographs of 34 Georgians from various social classes and religious and ethnic backgrounds. She tells the personal stories of how individuals have responded to the social and political changes in Georgia over the past 25 years. … Our audience was captivated by Lisa’s personal sketches of how individuals in Georgia responded creatively to the challenges of their changing circumstances. … Her photographs bring us eye to eye with these remarkable people and raise our awareness and understanding of Georgia.” (Laura Morgan, Program Committee, AAUPW)
